2. Byadgi Chilli
The colour champion. Byadgi is prized for its deep, vibrant red colour and wrinkled skin not its heat. With one of the highest ASTA scores, it's the top choice for food colouring, paprika extract, oleoresin, lipstick pigments, and premium masala brands who want rich colour without burning heat.

3. Sannam Chilli — LCA-334
India's most produced chilli variety. Representing 75% of India's total chilli production, Sannam (also called S-4 or 334) is a versatile all-purpose chilli used in cuisines from India to Mexico. Small in size, large in demand preferred by importers who need consistent, high-volume supply.

4. Wonder Hot

5. Wrinkle-273 (S-273)
The premium powder chilli. Semi-wrinkled, long, and dark red with fewer seeds Wrinkle-273 is specifically preferred for chilli powder production due to its deep colour, mild heat, and low seed-to-flesh ratio. Ideal for masala companies and food processors.

6. Chapata Chilli
A colour powerhouse from Warangal. Chapata has a unique tomato-like, round shape with an exceptionally deep red color and very few seeds. Highly popular in East Asian markets for use in pickles, curries, and as whole chilli decorations. One of the highest ASTA-scoring varieties.

7. Mahi Teja — S15

8. Mundu Chilli (Ramnad S-9 / Gundu)
The South Indian icon. Mundu chillies are small, round, and thick-skinned with 75% seed content and a unique flavour distinct from other varieties. Used in classic South Indian cuisines including sambhar, rasam, and chettinad dishes. Also popular in Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

9. Kanthari Chilli (Bird's Eye)
Small but mighty extreme heat with medicinal value. Known as 'Kanthari Mulaku' in Kerala, this tiny chilli packs the heat of 1.5–2 lakh SHU. Used in curries, pickles, and traditional medicine. Known to help reduce blood pressure, treat arthritis, and improve digestion.

10. US-341 Chilli
